Emma Morton moved to SE Idaho 5 years ago with her husband, who was born and raised in Pocatello. With her work in community and economic development, she quickly fell in love with the region. Growing up, Emma’s family encouraged a sense of adventure with traveling and exploring new places. Today, she enjoys having big and small adventures with her two kiddos and husband here in the beautiful place they call home and further abroad.

Emma has a BA in Politics and Government from Pacific University. Her career path has been in non-profit work, honing her skills in volunteer management, funding development, grant writing, strategic planning, and community-based economic development. Emma is passionate about working with communities and people to find place-based, sensible solutions to planning, project, and funding needs. She is excited to bring her expertise to the SSLT Team, engage with the volunteers who make this work possible, and work with landowners to help them achieve their long-term goals.
