We’re thrilled to announce the launch of our 2026 Habitat Haven program!
This initiative gives community members the opportunity to transform their yards, patios, or other spaces into thriving habitats that support pollinators, birds, and other wildlife.
Habitat loss and invasive species have a monumental impact on our landscape, and it can be overwhelming to imagine how we as individuals can help. The Habitat Haven program empowers you to be part of the solution and make a difference, one yard at a time. By planting native, pollinator-friendly species, you create a sanctuary for bees, hummingbirds, butterflies, and more. Together, we can bring more biodiversity to our community and support healthier ecosystems!
This year, for the first time, the program will be free — thanks to a generous funder and support from North Fork Native Plants and Idaho Grimm Growers. Through these partnerships, we are thrilled to reduce barriers to participation and help grow pollinator habitat across our region.

What’s included:
-
- Up to two native plants from North Fork Native Plants. Plant options will include Rubber Rabbitbrush, Chokecherry, Woods Rose, and potentially some other varieties (while availability lasts).
-
- A native, pollinator-friendly wildflower seed packet from Idaho Grimm Growers.
-
- Sagebrush Steppe Land Trust sticker pack.
-
- Resource packet with tips for creating your own Habitat Haven at home.
-
- Habitat Haven yard sign.
Seed Mix Variety: Blanketflower, Appar Blue Flax, Rocky Mountain Penstemon, Colorado Columbine, Munro’s Globemallow, Arrowleaf Balsamroot, Firecracker Penstemon, Palmer’s Penstemon, Rocky Mountain Beeplant (exact mix depends on availability)
